From time to time we come across other projects that are related to ours…or just plain interesting. This one is kind of both: Corpus elettronico delle descrizioni di Roma by Ilaria Bonincontro and hosted by CISADU at the Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”.
This project collects descriptions of the city of Rome from the end of the 13th till the beginning of the 15th century. It includes hypertext versions of several texts along with two clickable maps. Key words are indexed across all sources, so you can easily find all references to a particular keyword, for example, Concordia. You can also see lists of all indexed terms, organized topically.
It’s not a new site, but it is a good one.
PS We’re keeping track of these projects on a separate page.
